Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

Younger in churches of God is unavoidable to be the target of the devil because they have a great influence. They are motive power of driving churches but, at the same time, they can be a tool of throw down the churches. So, they must always keep watch against the temptation of the devil.

The Bible says ‘Be sober’ to turn against the temptation of the devil. What does ‘be sober’ mean? It means having a right discernment and judging correctly for everything. Today, the devil has already spread out much yeast, false truth, in churches. So, it seems like a truth although it is falsehood obviously by the Bible.

Look at the subdivisions of the seasons in churches. Is there Biblical one? What about rites? Most of that is performed by what is called tradition in spite of going against the Bible. What is more, various kinds of decorations and managerial regulations are following the way of the devil. The mission of younger is to discern these things and distinguish churches from that. For that, younger have to be sober and watch the churches of God.

Then, what does ‘be vigilant’ mean? It is the way for holding the truth. Because the devil always gets ready for attacking churches of God, we have to be vigilant. This is the portion of younger. The elder people are indecisive, so want everything goes loosely. These things can make forgiveness and tolerance but can make churches come to a crisis.

Younger must be vigilant for ‘our adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour’. They have to obstruct churches to compromises with falsehood and keep truth. This is younger’s mission. These works have continued through young Christians from the first generation churches. If younger in churches are indifferent to keeping the truth and do not any opposition against attacks of the devil, the churches would break down soon. Remember that it is your commission.
