Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: (1 Peter 2:1-2)

We need to compare it with other modified Bibles before meditate on this phrase, because this phrase is very important as a doctrine and deal with a keen issue. The modified Bibles changed ‘the sincere milk of the word’ into ‘crave pure spiritual milk’, and ‘grow thereby’ into ‘grow up in your salvation’. We can fine an enormous difference of doctrine between them even through a simple comparison.

A salvation never can be got from growth of faith. It is once a life of event happens when we welcome Jesus Christ as our Savior. It is the same as we receive baptism by immersion one time. If one receives a salvation in the process of growth, the death of Jesus will lose the value. It is the same with repeating in and out the mother’s womb when birth of baby. Our body came from the mother’s womb just one time. Therefore, it is a very foolish act to establish a standard of a salvation and teach that we can miss it.

It is a growth that one received a salvation chase. We acted all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speaking before receiving a salvation. However, now we laid aside such things, and are as newborn babes. Baby can do few things. We admire only our mother’s milk before maturity. It is a conduct baby take. This milk is the word of the Lord.

The first behavior of Christian be born again is to listen the word of the Lord. It is most important work in church. Someone want to doing something in their church after believe Jesus Christ. Of course, they will be successful the works, but what can a baby do? It is lucky if there is no accident. Being required of baby is to suck the breast well and grow up healthy. If you see a person who stays a faith of baby, be faithful to their sucking the breast of the word. It will make them most sound Christian.
