Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: (1 Peter 1: 18-19)

An event of redemption in Christian is the most surprising event in one’s life. We can know that we are happy person from a fact that we received a new life and the life is eternal. Then, where is our redemption from? The Bible is explaining the issue very briefly and to the point.

Think about our vain conversation received by tradition from our fathers. Is it true that the things which control our life are our decisions and actions? It has gone too far, because we are made from education and experience of life. Even now, people are conducting under the control of something according to their way of life. It doesn’t belong to only non Christian. Many Christians are making their life of a vain life, obeying to a word of a person or a tradition than a direction of God. They say, ‘we are living doing our best’, but they can’t avoid Lord’s judgments.

Then, where is redemption from? It doesn’t from the world, and it isn’t corruptible things, as silver and gold. People make an effort to be free from a way of hell, so they attempt various means. A rich person will strive to be redeemed with money and a person who has honor or power will do with their position. Also, a well-informed person will do with their academic logic. So, people argue that the way for redemption is various, but their arguments and ways can’t redeem them.

The way of redemption is only one. That is the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:19). We must always engrave it in our heart. Many false leaders try to disturb such faith. They say that only faith plus work will redeem us and the blood of Christ isn’t important. However, we must remember that our redemption is possible because of only the blood of Christ. We can see a glorious day, a day Lord come, if we make ourselves be strong in the faith and continue the life of Christian. Please keep our faith hold on firmly.
