Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Why did a religion come out? Of course, the main reason is a crafty trick of Satan, but it can work because people are on pins and needles about the time to come. For that reason, people are worried about a subject of the salvation, and it is a big task for prophets. They made a study of the subject with assiduity, and presented the solution. That is the suffering of Christ and a glory after that. All this is not for them, because Christ didn’t exist in their age.
What is the core content of the Old Testament? The ideologists of commandment will argue that of course it is commandment, and a Judaism and historian will talk about a record of their history and a historical material. However, all is not a correct answer. The Old Testament is a record about the suffering of Christ and a glory after that. In other words, it is a book introducing a salvation plan of Jesus. Jesus Christ points out the Old Testament, and says that it makes a record of him.(John 5:39,46) Yes, the Bible is about Jesus Christ.
Such good news spread with Holy Ghost, because we can’t realize the words without him. That is, we have to interpret the words with the spirit, because it is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16). People like analysis the Bible according to their mind, and get pleasure from teaching a truth deteriorated. However, all this will be set in judgment of God. The truth must tell in accordance with lead of Holy Ghost. The good news is worth admirable even in heaven. It is grieve work to analysis the words forcibly and deteriorate by arbitrary judgment.
The salvation of a soul is surprising event not only in this world, but in heaven. Remember that even if we are given the salvation by our faith easily, the process is by no means easy. Many people die longing for the salvation, and Jesus went through death and resurrection personally for the salvation, but how about the people of today? They deny God as ever, and persecute believers, though live in a age of perfect salvation. Now, which is the place we stand?
