Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1:8-9)

Someone asks, “Have you ever seen the Lord, though you say that you are the redeemed one?” Then Christians are confused, because they never have seen a person looked him. So, they think their faith is wrong, and they attempt many things; go to a prayer house, go on a fast, and so on. Of course, they want to see him, but they still don’t do that. If there is a person who sees him with a special providence of God, it isn’t a universal situation, because the Bible says that the faith is the thing that loves, believes, and rejoices even if it is invisible. Yes, the faith is look for God even at invisible condition.

Then, what is the end of faith? It is ‘the salvation of a soul’ in a word. In common, people think it is the salvation of the soul, but it is one among the facts many people are confusing. The spirit comes from God, and it goes back to him. The body is from soil, and it goes back to the soil, so we can witness that a dead one get buried under soil, and the body changes into soil. If so, what is a soul? Animals don’t have it, but the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7) So, this soul is in only man.

A miserable fact is that Adam made the soul be in a condition of death because of a sin. Such situation is continued among people without a measure until coming of Jesus, and the chance for recovery is given to us after the resurrection of him. When we believe the resurrection and confess a fact is for you, our soul will revive. The simple and surprising works like this are recorded in the Bible, and this is contents on the center of all histories.

We hope to obtain many things by our faith. We can meditate honor, power, money, knowledge, and so on. However, a fact that we must remember is that the end of our faith is on the salvation of a soul. What does it mean if you have everything but a salvation in the world? This is the reason that we have to cherish the salvation of a soul.
