For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:(1 Peter 3:18)
We have heard many times about the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. However, I repeat it again because it is the base of good news. The Bible was recorded for this event, and it is impossible to relieve all mankind without this. Satan is working for weakening this good news even now.
Jesus came to this world to die. After a fast of Jesus for 40 days, Satan tempted him and presented an easier way of salvation that can get by showing his ability. Even Satan told that he will give all power and glory in the world to Jesus if Jesus bows respectfully him. However, Jesus Christ rejected all these things, because the salvation can be complete only through the death of Jesus, it was a promise.
It was not easy even for Jesus himself. We can see the scene which Jesus feared to take a cup of death when he prayed in Gethsemane. He wanted the cup to be taken away. However, he knew the will of God, so he could walk the path of the cross.
The death of Jesus is not simple capital punishment. He was the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world. In the process, he had to pour out all his blood of all his body. For that, his whole body was taken a whip, his head was put the crown of thorns, his hands and feet were crucified, and in the end, his heart was speared and he pour all his blood. His whole blood was used for mankind’s salvation. Through this precious blood of Jesus, we could receive a salvation.
After the death, Jesus resurrected. It is not for showing simply that Jesus alive, but for the hope that we will resurrect in the future. Without this hope, life will be very vain. Look at religions in the world. They make a world of assume, and desire to enter there. However, no one of them have ever convey of message of resurrection, because they not only have not been resurrected but also have not been enjoy the glory of heaven. We will experience the glory of resurrection in the future. Jesus is the first fruit of this, and now we will be part of the fruit. I hope you who relieved through the blood of Jesus Christ to live longing for glorious days in the future.
