If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:11)
The words and action of Christians are different from those of the world people, because they don’t belong to the world. So, it is no wonder that they act as the people of heaven. The Bible give orders based on these facts; ‘if any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth’.
Christians must be very careful of speaking, because their words are common and are a means needed in their life before receiving salvation but they have ability as special existence after that. Think about Adam before committing. All things came out through his mouth get accomplished in the world created by God. We already get back to the condition before committing. On this count, it is sure to be careful.
Think about ‘speak as the oracles of God’. What was the world made from? This world made from the words of God, and even now is made progress by it. Then, how can we speak ‘as the oracles of God’? We have to think that the world would be changed according to our words. Let us suppose that we are cursing someone. If so, he really could be under a curse. Conversely, if we bless someone, he will be blessed. We must have these thinking.
The same goes for ministering. The Bible says ‘If any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth’. It is never easy to ministering somebody else. It premises our sacrifice. Then, what is to minister the Lord show? It is to God personally came this world with body and became a servant of people. If so, what ability is the Lord giving us now?
People misjudge that the ability is an authority, and imagine their features reigning over this world. It is perfectly wrong. If you want to live a minister life as a sincere Christian, you ought to make low yourself, hold others in reverence, and have an attitude of serving. The Lord emphasize that these all things are from only him. Are you being supplied everything from God?
