But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.(1 Peter 4:7)
The days of good news means the end, because the Old Testament era is the time of preparing for Jesus’ coming and the days after his coming is the time of providing for the Kingdom of God. Today, it is the reality that Satan already knows his last and does his best to make many people miss their foot. So, Christians must have special ways to deal with this threat.
The Bible says the end of all things and encourages Christians to sober. Why do we have to sober? The answer is that there are a lot of plots of Satan for defeating Christians. Satan makes us be insensible to sins. It means that he makes us cannot realize our sins. Even in churches, these phenomenons frequently happen.
Think about rites in churches-there are many Satan’s culture; Christmas that is the birthday of Baal, Easter that is the birthday of Easter, Lent that is festival of Baal, etc. For sure, I don’t agree to criticize the participants, but they have to sober and classify where those are from if they are sincere Christians. What is more, lots of things are putting down roots in churches and it is too many to enumerate. Now, are we practicing in our life what the Bible says? I hope you to sober and look around your surroundings.
Then, what do we do after sobering? The Bible calls for watching unto prayer. Prayer is very important for Christians; because it is the way of gaining a victory against Satan and the arms for guardin us from his temptations. Of course, the Bible didn’t demand just simple prayer. If we run through only formal prayers as Pharisee did, it will bear more problems, because they fell into temptation and took part in Jesus’ death. So, Christians ought to sober, and to watch unto prayer after discriminate between rights and wrong clearly through the words of the Lord. Look back upon your features.
