2. A blind man leads a blind man

Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit."(Matthew15:14)

He also told them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?(Luke6:39)

This is Jesus' message to the Pharisees. Jesus says the Pharisees are blind guides. There are many blind leaders in this age. They hold the Bible in their hands and act as if they were living a holy life; they are the leaders of many. But if he doesn't understand what he says right, or if he can't guide people on the right path, he's clearly a blind leader. I would say this is a call for a good attitude in becoming a leader.

Israel's watchmen are blind, they all lack knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they cannot bark; they lie around and dream, they love to sleep.(Isaiah56:10)

But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi," says the LORD Almighty(Malachi2:8)

God has warned the leaders of the Old Testament. They say their expressions of appearance are blind, lack knowledge, and mute dogs, who cannot bark, and lazy. Among them, you can say that the Pharisees of Jesus' time belonged to the blind. They were teaching the Bible, and sometimes they were hardworking, but they were leading those who were more enthusiastic into hell.

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are(Matthew23:15)

They were never lazy. But even though they were so diligent that they wouldn't go anywhere, what they were doing was to make them twice as much a son of hell. That's what blind leaders do. Today, these things are repeated, and they say they preach the gospel, but they're making them even more a son of hell. Today we need to be able to think about what today's leaders are blind to through the images of the Pharisees.

Elli's two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were had when people brought meat to sacrifice it, and at the time of meat boil, they took the meat out of the hook. In response to these actions, the Bible says the sin is very serious (1 Samuel 2:12-17). Eventually God warns that he will kill them through Ellie (1 Samuel 2:34), and they will die soon (1 Samuel 3:11). What's interesting is that if they had a covenant, they would win the fight, but in the end they were deprived and killed. They were the leaders of Israel, but eventually they died and all who followed them were killed. Not only that, but God's covenant was beside them, but he could not protect them.

Real leaders never lock themselves in a framework of the law. And they are not the ones who make people panic because of God's will. The first quality of a true leader is to open their eyes. If he fails to open his eyes and does not fully understand God's will, he will never live as a true leader.

You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel(Matthew 23:24)

The blind leaders is very sensitive to small things. They are very hard to do things that are not highlighted in the Bible. But they ignore the big teaching. They're used to punishing and judging others with unclear truths, but they're not interested in the big teaching. They are very nervous when they see any disadvantage to themselves, but do not care about easy things. Ephemera is small, but it bothers people. But camels are big, but they don't hurt people. Rather, it benefits. It's typical of a blind leaders to be nervous about the disadvantages and to be reckless about the benefits.

A true leader must be clear about the truth. They need to be honest. They must lead true and right from our own benefits and disadvantages. They should not judge people by their own standards, but they should be able to act only on the basis of the written word. Only the Bible is a true leaders. When you look at the Bible correctly, you can guide people right. You must open your eyes to the Bible and follow its teachings to guide you correctly.
