Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,(1 Peter 1:3)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is very special to Christian, because it gives surprising desire to strangers who don’t put their hope in this world. Peter says it is a lively hope. These words emphasize that the desire holding in Christian’s bosom is by no means fruitless thing.

Today, many people living with a vain hope. They spend their time thirsting for winning in lottery, watching for a chance of making a fortune at one stroke in an amusement hall, and hopping accruing a miracle in hearing someone’s success stories. We say, “Work hard without a futile hope.” but they think that life is meaningless if they can’t have even such desire. However, a clear fact is that their hope gives frustration to them immediately.

Where is the space that put our mind? There is no place like that around us. Of course, there are many things attracting us. The things like money, honor, and power seem like making many people be happy, but it leads them to the way of ruin. How about a self-styled director? He says that people could be happy if they follow him, but he soon sneaks away leaving a severe pain.

Our lively hope is only in Jesus Christ. The resurrection of him is an event for just the hope. Our welcome of him as the savior means participation in this resurrection. The resurrection is confession for our hope isn’t in the world. It passes the fact that we can overcome all the difficulties. If the way for our eternal life and happiness without a frustration exist, it is only living with a belief that we can take part in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is the way for a lively hope.
